A Police Man Falsely Accused a McDonald’s Employee

Safe to say this cop wasn’t lovin’ it after a current fast-food trip.

An Indiana police officer apologized last week after accusing a McDonald’s worker of eating part of his sandwich due to his position as a law enforcement officer.

The sheriff’s deputy, recognized only as “DJ,” told the Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR earlier in July, he observed several small bites when he went to heat his meal up at the station in Marion County.

“he noticed a number of small bites,” DJ stated. “he does know he didn’t eat it. No other individuals around. I’m going to report this to McDonald’s, see if they will get that taken care of.”

After returning to the restaurant to complain, DJ was offered free meals, which he refused.

“I just needed to find out who the person was and deal with that particular person in an appropriate method,” DJ informed.

The Sheriff’s Department ended up launching its personal investigation and concluded that “DJ” just forgot that he ate a few of the sandwich earlier in his shift.

“The worker took a bite out of the sandwich upon starting his shift on the Marion County Jail, then placed it within the refrigerator in a break room,” the sheriff’s department mentioned in a press release. “He returned nearly seven hours later having forgotten that he had previously bitten the sandwich.”

A Marion County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson told HuffPost that “DJ” was disciplined.
